VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is offered for one week during the summer to provide children from Pre-School age four to those entering 6th grade with a spiritual, fun experience during summer break from school. This is a fun time that is centered on God and His role in our lives. The activities are set up as stations in separate rooms that the children move through as they go through the day. Participants are organized into crews for the activities. Each station is decorated according to the theme for the year.

Adult and Teen Volunteers are Needed

All volunteer positions are subject to approval. High School volunteers will have precedence over Middle School volunteers. Volunteers may be eligible for up to 25 service hours. Adult volunteers (over 18 years old) are required to complete the Safe Environment.

Information

Fees are $40 per child, but fees are waived for most volunteer positions. Many scholarships are available. Please do not hesitate to contact Megan Neuman or Lori Pieri if a scholarship is needed. Teen volunteers can earn up to 15 hours (or more if they help with set-up).

Discipleship for Children with Special Needs

We would like to help provide Discipleship opportunities for all of our Parish children in the way that best suits the child’s formational needs. We can offer to support children with special learning, behavioral, emotional or physical needs in a number of ways, depending on the level or type of need. If a child would benefit more from an alternative Discipleship program (perhaps small group or special friend) rather than our mainstreamed classroom format, we will do our best to work with parent(s) in providing the appropriate formation.
