Middle School Faith Formation - The Edge

Check back soon for summer updates and CFF registration for 21-22

Edge - Middle School Faith Formation (gr. 6-7)

The 3 years of Middle School Faith Formation, students will have completed learning about the entire Catechism of the Catholic Church in a fun and engaging way.  Students will be in a group setting with their peers in the same grade and will build community while learning, praying and growing closer to God.

Outside of the regular program, we also offer students several spiritual and social events to attend throughout the year such as retreats, rallies, lock-ins, and more. Many of these events are coordinated with other churches throughout our diocese. Registration and further information on these events is communicated throughout the year via email and Facebook.

NEW AND IMPORTANT SCHEDULING INFORMATION:  Classes are held Sundays from 6-7:30pm from October through April.  Click here for the detailed calendar of class and event dates: MS/HS CFF Fall Calendar 2020. For the Faith Formation Registration form for the 2020-21 year:  click here.

Please click here to sign and submit the Acceptance of Internet Safety Responsibility and Permission to Deliver Online Content to Youth.  All MS and HS families must have this permission on file for the 20-21 CFF year.

For questions, contact Whitney Cunningham, Coordinator of Middle and High School Youth Ministry or the CFF office at 616-891-8867.

Social Media  Important information specifically for MS and HS

Holy Family’s Internet Use Policy for its employees establishes strict guidelines as to proper conduct on the Internet and the appropriate content of communications, blogs, and websites.  Behavior must adhere to the Diocesan Standards of Ministerial Behavior in Dealing with Children and Young People at all times.

As church workers who care deeply about our young people, we urge parents to regularly monitor their children’s internet, electronic devices and social networking activity.  The Virtus, Michigan CSI, and MI Attorney General’s websites have great information on the parental role in internet safety.

We intend to communicate regularly with students via Social Media.  The Diocese of Grand Rapids does not allow ministry participant minors to interact with employees of the parish without written consent from the parent or guardian.  Your permission is requested on the registration form.
