Sacristan
 
Sacristan.......................Heidi Galdys
 
     Responsibilities:  In charge of the sacred vessels, vestments, etc., for use in liturgies of the church.
Prepare liturgical materials; lectionary, Sacramentary, and other ritual books.
Inventory and replenish materials for liturgical use; wine, bread, candles, charcoal, etc.
     Gifts to Share:  Love of and respect for the Liturgy, knowledge of sacristy purpose, ability to work with others.
     Commitment:  Three year term, renewable once. Attend Liturgy Committee 2 hour meeting monthly. Oversee Sacristan Aides in their responsibilities. Attend liturgical celebrations as necessary.


Sacristan Aides/Eucharistic Set-Up......................
 
     Purpose:  Set up vessels and supplies for Holy Communion. After the Liturgy, return all the same to proper place in Sacristy.
     Responsibilities: Assist Sacristan with Mass preparation/clean up.
     Gifts to share: Love & respect for Liturgy and Eucharist. Basic sense of ritual celebration.
     Commitment: Attend yearly training and yearly retreat. Be certified EMHC from the Diocese. Serve at Mass approximately 1-2 Masses per month, arriving 25-30 minutes prior to Mass and prayerfully serve, staying after Mass till everything is in its place.
 
 
Sacristan Aides/Linens....................Doris Abraham/Karen Koepke
 
     Purpose: Keep Altar linens and Altar Server Robes in condition necessary
for liturgical celebrations. Help keep Sacristy in orderly, organized fashion.
     Responsibilities: Wash (iron when necessary) Altar linens and server robes.
     Gifts to share: Ability to launder and iron when necessary.
     Commitment: Server robes laundered every 2 months; linens in hamper laundered weekly. 3 year commitment.
