to Share: Time is all that is needed. A
smile is helpful. Most of the "work"
involves putting out food/beverages, preparing/serving
food/beverages and/or setting up (e.g. decorations, tables,
chairs, etc.) and tearing down an event.

Very flexible. Work on events as scheduled.

- Parish Life Ministry is both socially
and spiritually rewarding for its members and the
Parish. Listed below are many areas that we serve in
our ministry.

- Funeral
Luncheons - To give those whose loved one has died the
opportunity to receive consolation and share memories with
family and friends during lunch after the funeral.
- Donuts
& Coffee - The Donut Brigade serves coffee and
donuts after most Masses on Sunday.
- Lenten
Soup Suppers - Soup prepared and served on Friday
evenings through-out Lent and Friday noon on Good Friday
before services.
- Holy
Thursday Seder Meal - Reenactment of the Jewish
Passover meal.
- Easter
Egg Hunt - Parish Life puts on an Easter Egg Hunt for
kids between the ages of 2 to 12.
This takes place on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.
- Easter
Vigil and Reception - Parish Life is responsible for
preparing the Holy Family Center Hall for the first part of
the Easter Vigil and then the reception following the
celebration of the Easter Vigil.
- Mother
& Child Breakfast - Parish Life with the Knights
of Columbus recruit the men of the parish to prepare and serve
breakfast on Mother’s Day.
- Father
& Child Breakfast - The women of the parish are
recruited along with Parish Life members to prepare and serve
breakfast on Father’s Day.
- White
Caps Game - A fun-filled day at the Fifth Third Park
enjoying a White Caps game for members of the parish.
- Parish
Picnic - A major event each year including an outdoor
Mass,
potluck and wide range of games and events for adults
and children.
It takes many hands because it takes a lot of work;
but it is loads of fun.
- Stewardship
Festival - Set-up in the hall with tables for the
festival is done by our crew.
Each ministry decorates their own tables and has the
opportunity to share information about their ministry with the
parish.
- Holy
Family’s Christmas Play/Potluck - Potluck following
the Christmas play.
- Ladies
Advent by Candlelight - Parish Life helps by setting
up the tables and making coffee for this event.
- Road
Rally - A fun event for adults only.
Four to five people in one car drive around Kent County
deciphering clues, going to a location and gathering the
specified information, and getting back to the church hall for
a snack and beverage and to share stories of the evening.

Purpose:
To save

Responsibilities:
To recruit people as donors or volunteers for
childcare, as canteen workers, registration, etc.

Approximately 1 hour,
twice a year.
