Purpose:  Provide a social environment that supports other ministries, the Parish, community, and the Diocese.
Ministry Responsibilities:  To provide an environment for fellowship and camaraderie.  We host some events and are support for other events.  Encourage members to take charge and chair at least one event during the year.
Gifts to Share:  Time is all that is needed.  A smile is helpful.  Most of the "work" involves putting out food/beverages, preparing/serving food/beverages and/or setting up (e.g. decorations, tables, chairs, etc.) and tearing down an event.
Commitment:  Very flexible.  Work on events as scheduled.  Choose an event and focus your efforts.  Directions provided.

Parish Life Ministry is both socially and spiritually rewarding for its members and the Parish.  Listed below are many areas that we serve in our ministry.

Funeral Luncheons - To give those whose loved one has died the opportunity to receive consolation and share memories with family and friends during lunch after the funeral.
Donuts & Coffee - The Donut Brigade serves coffee and donuts after most Masses on Sunday.
Lenten Soup Suppers - Soup prepared and served on Friday evenings through-out Lent and Friday noon on Good Friday before services.
Holy Thursday Seder Meal - Reenactment of the Jewish Passover meal.
Easter Egg Hunt - Parish Life puts on an Easter Egg Hunt for kids between the ages of 2 to 12.  This takes place on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.
Easter Vigil and Reception - Parish Life is responsible for preparing the Holy Family Center Hall for the first part of the Easter Vigil and then the reception following the celebration of the Easter Vigil.
Mother & Child Breakfast - Parish Life with the Knights of Columbus recruit the men of the parish to prepare and serve  breakfast on Mother’s Day.
Father & Child Breakfast - The women of the parish are recruited along with Parish Life members to prepare and serve breakfast on Father’s Day.
White Caps Game - A fun-filled day at the Fifth Third Park enjoying a White Caps game for members of the parish.
Parish Picnic - A major event each year including an outdoor Mass,  potluck and wide range of games and events for adults and children.  It takes many hands because it takes a lot of work;  but it is loads of fun.
Stewardship Festival - Set-up in the hall with tables for the festival is done by our crew.  Each ministry decorates their own tables and has the opportunity to share information about their ministry with the parish.
Holy Family’s Christmas Play/Potluck - Potluck following the Christmas play.
Ladies Advent by Candlelight - Parish Life helps by setting up the tables and making coffee for this event.
Road Rally - A fun event for adults only.  Four to five people in one car drive around Kent County deciphering clues, going to a location and gathering the specified information, and getting back to the church hall for a snack and beverage and to share stories of the evening.
Blood Drive -
Supported by Caledonia Community Churches
Blood Drive Chairpersons:  Jim & Linda Hillen
      Purpose:  To save lives.
