- Council
Purpose: The visionary and planning body for the
pastoral and spiritual concerns of the parish. The
council is a consultative body to the Pastor. The
ministry and main purpose is pastoral planning.
- Council
Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the annual
parish pastoral planning, goals and objectives.
Establish on-going opportunities for dialogue with the
community (for example, needs surveys, Day of Discernment,
Organizational Flow Chart, Voice Box, etc.)
- Gifts
to Share: Willingness to pray and reflect with
others; willingness and ability to respectfully communicate;
ability to give time, energy and future thinking.
- Commitment:
2 to 5 hours monthly for a minimum of 3 years. Issues
may dictate more frequent involvement. Training within
the council formation and Diocesan opportunities to learn
more.
