     Council Purpose and Responsibilities:
To help ensure accountability for and responsibility with the contributions of the parish community and provides trust and credibility with parishioners and society.
To operate within the parish priorities established by the Pastor and the Pastoral Council as they work together to establish the general budget and parameters within which the parish can responsibly act financially.
To project the annual parish income; provide an integrated budget setting mechanism for the total parish in accord with the projected pastoral goals and objectives developed by the Pastor, Pastoral Council, and administrative/ministerial organizations or committees; and recommend a final budget for the coming year.
To periodically review the parish income/expense report to determine whether the parish operations are in line with projected budget.
To assist the pastor in providing an annual report to the parishioners of the financial position of the parish.
To review the annual financial report before it is sent to the diocesan finance office.
To review diocesan personnel policies and whether such policies are being observed in the parish.
To make recommendations for some type of stewardship or giving program for the parish and to assist in its implementation.
To develop long-term financial planning with regard to the operational and capital needs of the parish.
     Gifts to Share:  The Finance Council seeks diverse representation of the parish to serve on the council.  Accounting and finance education and work experience is preferred for approximately half of the council membership. Skills recommended are communication, problem solving, patience, open mindedness and forward thinking.
     Commitment:  4 to 6 hours monthly with minimum of 2 years.  Additional support work may be needed.

Futures Foundation Chairperson............................................Pat Quinn
 
     Purpose:  Solicits, invests and expends funds for the expressed purpose of providing Holy Family parishioners with assistance in meeting costs of Catholic education.  The financial vehicles used to accomplish this purpose are the Founders Endowment Fund and the Catholic School Tuition Fund.
     Responsibilities:  Solicits contributions for the Endowment funds.  Invests funds in a fiscally responsible manner.  Reviews applications for assistance and makes decisions as to the disbursement of funds.
     Gifts to Share:  A commitment to the importance of Catholic education.  A sense of fiscal responsibility.
     Commitment:  Approximately 2 to 3 Board meetings a year.  Board chair, Business Manager and Pastor confer as needed to allot disbursements and other miscellaneous duties.  No defined term lengths; members serve at the direction of the Pastor.  No training necessary.
