Holy Family Parish Cancellation
Policy
As
winter does its thing, it’s
important for everyone to know how the word gets out about
ministry cancellations.
If
Caledonia Schools close or dismiss early, all Holy Family
ministries are cancelled for the remainder of the day.
Phone calls are not made to alert parishioners in these
cases, since it is announced through the media (see below).
If
there is an emergency cancellation and Caledonia Schools have not
closed or dismissed early, parishioners who would be affected
by a cancellation are notified by either a parish staff member
or a member of their ministry.
If
there is an emergency cancellation, it applies to all
ministries (activities, programs, events, services, etc.) for
the parish.
Cancellations
are announced on TV channel 8 & 13 on weekdays, and radio
stations FM 97.9, FM 105.7, FM 96.9, FM 93.7 and AM 1300.
Weekend reporting on stations is less reliable, and
phone calls typically are made to affected parishioners.
Cancellations
can also be seen by going to our parish website, www.holyfamilycaledonia.org,
and clicking on “cancellations” at the bottom of the home
page. Cancellations

Several of these media outlets even offer a service
that will email you directly and immediately when an
announcement is posted for your selected organizations (ex.
Holy Family Caledonia).
