All volunteers must:
s  attend a “Protecting God’s Children” Awareness session,
s  complete a Volunteer Services Application & Code of Ministerial Behavior
s  have a Criminal Background Check
s  be certified by the Diocese of Grand Rapids (catechists only).
 
Formation and training are provided for all types of volunteers throughout the year.    There are many opportunities to volunteer in our CFF programs.
General:
     Attendance helpers; Phone calling; office help (copying, mailings…); language translation; CFF volunteer appreciation potluck coordinator, set-up, clean-up; CFF-Education Council member Curriculum Committee member; catechist formation presenter; small group catechist formation scheduler/assistant; childcare for parent/catechist meetings
Special Education:
     Special education catechist, special friend, special education consultant /assistance
Early Childhood:
     Early childhood catechist, early childhood aide
Elementary:
     Elementary catechist, elementary aide, substitute catechist, substitute aide, lead teacher, elementary building helper, first Eucharist assistant, first Reconciliation assistant, first Reconciliation helper, first Eucharist helper, childcare for catechists/aides during classes, G.Y.M. captain/scheduler, G.Y.M. supervisor/monitor, 3rd grade mass helper, 5th grade mass helper

     sBackground Check for Employees and VolunteersThis form gives permission for a background check for criminal history, or other checks, if applicable.
     s“Virtus-Protecting God’s Children” Awareness session:  A nationally recognized program of preventing child sexual abuse by training all diocesan clergy, employees and volunteers who regularly interact with children and young people.
