- Touching Safety
- Holy Family Parish is
dedicated to protecting our children and youth. We
work closely with the Diocese of Grand Rapids to ensure that
persons who have regular contact with children and youth are
approved for their roles and trained in maintaining a safe
environment within our parish.

- The prevention of sexual abuse
requires more than adult awareness, education, and training
about the nature and scope of the problem. Children
and young people themselves need to be made aware of the
issue and equipped with the skills for staying safe.
To this end, our diocese requires that all students in
grades kindergarten through 12 participate in a
"touching safety" program. The touching
safety program consists of two lessons per year. The
lessons present touching safety topics in an age-appropriate
manner.
