Sacramental Preparation
 
Eucharist and Reconciliation Preparation & Celebration:
 
Children who have reached second grade are eligible for preparation for Eucharist and Reconciliation.  There is a meeting for parents who desire the preparation of their child for these sacraments on
Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Holy Family.
At least one parent must attend.  Sacramental enrollment is required.  Brochures and registration forms will be provided at the parent meeting.
For more information on Elementary Sacramental Preparation, contact Chris Shafer at 891-8867 x224.  Note:  2nd graders must register and attend weekly CFF classes.  Complete the registration forms.

Incoming 8th grade students are eligible and registered for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  The process takes place in 2 phases.
 
Phase I:  8th grade students
     · Preparation process during R.O.C.K. Middle School CFF program.
     · Student and Parent Information meeting February 8, 2009 at 7:05pm.
     · Rite of Enrollment Mass on March 7, 2009 at 5pm with the Rising Mass
Phase II:  9th grade students
     · Preparation process resumes during F.I.R.E. High School CFF program.
     · Sponsor involvement begins (specific dates TBA).
     · Final requirements due (as specified in Phase I meeting, brochure and mailings).
     · Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Andrew’s Cathedral (date TBA).

Rite of Christian Initiation (R.C.I.C.) & Sacrament “Catch-up”
 
If you have a child who is older than the usual sacrament preparation age and, for any reason, missed the sacrament and you would like him/her to celebrate the sacrament now, R.C.I.C. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Children) is available.  Mark the box “yes” on page 16 of the registration form and you will be contacted with more information.
