High School (Gr. 9-12) Fire CFF Program

The name Fire represents high school ministry at our parish.
Focus on God,
Imitate the Saints,
Rely on Faith,
Everyday Pray

The Sunday program is  workshop based.  Each workshop was created to attract teens using their interests to give them a practical approach to learning about their Catholic identity.  Basically, a common faith concept/study is presented in several workshops in one night, but the presentation will be different based on the workshop theme.  The workshops are as follows:
>Catholic Cuisine - cooking/baking...anything food related
>Sports and Spirituality - Miscellaneous athletic and other games
>Scrip-n-scrap - scrapbooking and sewing/quilting/knitting
>Faith & Logic (A.P. Church) discussion based scriptural, doctrinal and theological understanding.
>Playing with Matches - crafts, woodworking, candles,  mosaic design
>The Rising Band - musicians learn and practice praise and worship for Rising Mass once a month.
>Jesus and Modern Media - media, movies and music
>D3 -  Retreat Leadership Training (Discipleship, Dedication and Determination)

In addition, F.I.R.E. has other special events, retreats, and
a Thursday night Bible Study which meets all year! See other side for events calendar.

Our 2008-09 program is full of opportunity for both teens and adult leaders!

The success of our program depends on you!  The plan is to use as many volunteers as possible so the commitment would only be 4 workshops per team for the whole CFF FIRE Sunday program.  If you have any interest in helping or leading any of these workshops, don’t be shy!

See page 4 of the registration form for volunteer opportunities.
See page 17 on the registration form to sign up and share your time and talents with our high school teens!
